Help with JoyaGoo weights, steps and terms

Where to take a question, the words this site uses for weights and steps, short answers on rounding, and how to tell us a number is wrong.

Getting an answer from JoyaGoo or from us

Two-part card: questions for JoyaGoo, such as orders, payments and parcels, and questions for this site, such as a step pair or chart that looks wrong.

Anything about an order, a payment, a parcel or your account goes to JoyaGoo: [email protected], or the chat on the official site and in the app. We are an independent site with no access to JoyaGoo accounts and no way to change an order.

Questions about this site go to [email protected]. That includes a step pair that does not match what the estimator shows you, a chart that looks off, a dead link or a line name we have spelled wrong.

If something goes wrong with an order, collect the evidence first: the order number, the arrival photos and screenshots of what you saw. That speeds up any conversation with support.

Grid vocabulary

Glossary card pairing four core terms with a small worked example: first weight 500 g, continued weight 200 g, actual weight 1,000 g, billable weight 1,100 g.

A short glossary of the jargon on this site and in shopper forums. The weight terms are ours where JoyaGoo uses none; where the estimator has a label, we use its wording.

Actual weight
What the packed parcel weighs on the warehouse scale.
Billable weight
The weight a line charges for after rounding. The estimator returns it but does not print it on the result card.
First weight
The smallest billable weight on a line; everything at or below it bills this much. Usually 500 g.
Continued weight
The size of each step above the first weight, such as 200 g. Any started step counts in full.
Step pair
First weight and continued weight written together, such as 500 / 200.
Band
A weight range in which a line uses one step pair. Four lines have more than one band.
Floor
The first weight seen from below: the billable weight of any parcel lighter than it.
Overshoot
Billable weight minus actual weight: the grams paid for but not sent.
Detail panel
The pop-up behind each line's Detail link in the estimator, where the step sizes appear after the prices.
QC
Quality check: the arrival inspection and photos at the warehouse.
GL and RL
Shopper shorthand: GL is an acceptable QC result and RL is a concern. These community labels neither change an order status nor submit a return; use the account’s request process.
Line name
The label a shipping line carries in the estimator, such as EMS-60 or UK-RM-F.

Short answers on weights and steps

Card with the three most useful short answers: one kilo bills 1,100 g on the common pair, steps follow the line not the country, and step sizes appear in the Detail panel.

These short answers stand in for a frequently asked questions page. Open any of them for the detail.

Why is my one-kilo parcel quoted as more than a kilo?

On the common 500 / 200 pair, billable weights are odd hundreds: 900, 1,100, 1,300. A whole kilo falls between two steps and is billed at 1,100 g. Five of the six pairs bill one kilo exactly.

Does the step pair depend on my country?

In the 17 October sample, a line name had the same pair at the same weight across destinations: no exception in 248 comparisons. That observation is not a guarantee for future quotes or unsampled conditions. What depends on your country is which lines are listed.

Where can I see a line's step pair myself?

In the estimator, click Detail on the line and read the two labels under Charge Standard. The figure after each slash is the first weight and the continued step.

Why does the Detail panel show a different first weight than last time?

Four lines switch pairs by weight band. If you typed a different weight, you may be in a different band. See the changing-steps page.

Does this site include size-based weight?

No. All figures assume actual weight governs. Many lines bill the larger of actual and size-based weight; the official estimator does that sum when you enter dimensions.

Are the step pairs permanent?

No promise either way. They were read on 17 October 2026, and a further reading is an editorial target, not an automatic refresh. The about page lists what changed between readings.

Can the finder tell me which line to choose?

It does not try to. It shows where your weight lands on each pair, in a fixed order. Price, speed and the line notes matter too, and those are on the official estimator.

Does JoyaGoo run this site?

It does not. This is an independent reference built from JoyaGoo's public estimator and help pages. Orders and payments only ever happen on joyagoo.com.

Reporting a wrong number on this site

Card listing what to include in a correction: the line name, the destination, the weight you entered, what the estimator showed and the date.

If the estimator shows you a different step pair, limit or band edge from the one on this site, we want to know. Send the line name exactly as listed, the destination, the weight you entered, what the Detail panel showed and when you checked, to [email protected].

We re-query the estimator to confirm before changing anything, and the change is logged on the method page with the date. Corrections to wording or links follow the same route.

We do not take requests to promote a seller, a listing or an agent. The site has no paid placements, and links to the catalogue carry only a visit tag.
